Start the day right with a rich and balanced breakfast at Lime Restaurant, Hotel Jen (Malé, Maldives). A wide variety of international and local breakfast specialties are offered in buffet style.
Breakfast on weekdays (Sun-Thurs) – 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM
Breakfast on weekends (Fri-Sat & Public Holidays) – 6:30 AM to 11:00 AM
The cold selection includes sweet and salty baked goods (bread, rolls, cookies, croissants, cakes, pastries – vary daily), toast, cereals, homemade granola, fresh seasonal fruit, fruit cocktail, fruits and plain yogurt, butter and margarine, jam and marmalade, honey, cold cuts, cheese plates and fresh vegetables.
The hot breakfast dishes include eggs of your choice including omelet with onion, cheese, chili, tomato, bell pepper, beef bacon or mushroom, your preference of sausages whether it is boiled, grilled or baked, grilled vegetables, ratatouille, and a sweet selection of waffles, pancakes, or French toast with seasoning.
You will also find Maldivian local specialties, Mashuni (a typical Maldivian breakfast composed of finely chopped tuna, onion, coconut and chili, mixed with the grated meat of the coconut) and Kulhimas (fresh tuna side dish made with homemade spices). These two dishes are mostly taken with roshi (flat bread) and sweetened hot black tea.
As for the breakfast beverages, you can either have plain or chocolate milk, coffee, traditional, flavored or herbal tea, and juices (orange, peach, guava, apple, pineapple) which vary daily.
Guests may choose their breakfast type in accordance to their individual tastes. Also, they cater for special requirements on breakfast – you simply have to ask one of their friendly staff members at Lime Restaurant for any additional item which is not available on the buffet.
