“A griddle bit of this, a griddle bit of that”

With a new café opening up every other day or so, it’s extremely easy to miss out on what’s right in front of you. True to word, my friend and I almost did as we were walking around a certain block, trying to discover a new place to grab lunch at. This was when we came across The Griddle, a tiny, little café tucked away in the heart of the city.

With a few tables and chairs, it seemed like a cozy enough place to sit down and have a quick lunch at. We couldn’t be more right. We had a look through the menu and as much as I wanted to try out one of their burgers, I decided to go for a set lunch meal instead, while my friend opted for a tandoori sandwich (more like a subwich).

The servers were extremely friendly — they could be the owners — and the food arrived on my table within a short period of time. I was rather hungry, so I dug in to my chicken curry meal right away. The chicken was a tad overcooked for my liking but it went really well with the spicy gravy and vegetable rice, along with a sunny side up and a salad. I might have licked the plate clean but let’s be honest; I didn’t. It was a wholesome, hearty meal, and I can certainly say I’ll be going back to explore the rest of the menu. As for the tandoori sandwich, my friend enjoyed it very much, and she couldn’t stop recommending it to me. It was flavorful and she loved the chicken.

Readers, if you’d like to check the place out, follow them on their Facebook/Instagram or just find them on Kalhuhuraa Magu, the road leading towards Pizza Mia from Alikileygefaanu Magu.
