Chefs Guild of Maldives (CGM) celebrated this year’s International Chefs Day on Thursday, 17th October 2019 with a special children’s workshop. Following the global campaign theme “How Healthy Food Works”, the main focus of the event was to give the children an opportunity to learn about what different foods do for us and why we need them.
International Chefs Day is observed around the world to celebrate the profession, as well as to share their passion, knowledge and culinary skills with future generations.
The workshop hosted by CGM to celebrate International Chefs Day in Maldives was a successful event with over 200 participants. During this fun-filled workshop, members from CGM demonstrated how to create different types of recipes using healthy foods. In addition to this, the children were given booklets to encourage them to learn more about the importance of healthy eating.
