“Mango Smoothie Bowl”

We’re seeing these colourful bowls popping up on our Instagram feed. You can easily make one at home, and enjoy this nutritious and delicious breakfast, with a few favourite ingredients.

The key to getting consistency of the smoothie is freezing the fruit. You can prep this overnight for a quick and tasty breakfast the next morning. Top the smoothie with seasonal fruits like mangoes, passionfruit, bananas and for some crunch, chop up some kanamadhu or add some granola!

  • 2 cups frozen mango
  • 1 cup frozen banana
  • 1 tbsp natural yoghurt
  • 1 ½ cup coconut water
  • Honey to taste
  • Fruits and nuts to top


  • Place the fruit, yoghurt and 1 cup coconut water in a blender and blend till smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add more coconut water.
  • Place the smoothies in bowls, top with fruit and nuts of your choice and drizzle some honey to serve
